Aggie Days

Aggie Days - 5 day event in April.

Aggie Days is a 5 day event held in the Agrium Western Event Centre on the Stampede Park.

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday - scheduled school groups.
Saturday & Sunday: Family Fun Days - open to the general public

Come and learn where your food comes from.
Meet the bees and talk to beekeepers from Calgary and the surrounding communities.

Special Guest appearances by Pierre The Bear.

Entry Deadline: April 1, 2017

The honey competition is open to any honey producer, any country.
Organized and operated by Calgary & District Beekeepers Association.

We have 8 Stampede passes to award.
2 passes for the winners of each of the 4 categories

Container: Approximateley 375 ml round clear glass jar/500 gram sample, no pattern, one piece metal lid

An internet search for "Honey show preparation" will give you plenty of leads.

 
Calgary Stampede
Calgary & District Beekeepers Association is bringing their engaging and interactive bee display to the Calgary Stampede. Come visit us in the Agriculture building every day during Stampede from 10 am to 9 pm. Learn about bees and beekeeping from experienced beekeepers.

The winning entries from the Aggie Days/Stampede Honey Competition will be on display.

Priddis & Millarville Fair - 109 annual fair.
2016 event is a 2-day event August 20 &21.

You will find us in the riding arena between the food competition and the forage competition.

Come and see the honey entries in the honey competition, next to us, which is part of the bench show.

 

 

 



Chestermere Country Fall Fair - 1 day event in September.
You will usually find us in the curling rink next to the Red Ribbon Competition.

 

There is also an outdoor farmers market which usually has at least one honey booth.

Our honey harvest will be off and you will be able to sample some of this year's honey while you chat with our beekeepers and meet our bees in their observation hives.
